- Approval of God: Perhaps not by a direct creator, but his video on "The Biology of James Cameron's Avatar" was shared by the official Avatar Twitter account. Trey mentioned this in his later video on the eventual sequel, which he semi-jokingly interpreted as confirmation that his various theories are canon.
- Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: A minor mistake, but in his "Top 13 Most Inaccurate Fossil Reconstructions", he includes a bonus example of a winged Ankylosaurus. That reconstruction came from a kids' book that challenged young readers to identify made-up dinosaurs, with the above-mentioned creature being one of the phonies (the other being "Rhedosaurus"), meaning it was never meant to be taken seriously.
- Development Hell: Has promised to do a Paleo Profile on the giant monitor lizard Megalania for multiple years, but as of this writing, the video is still unpublished. He has lampshaded this a few times.
