• First Appearance: "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy" marks the debut of the eponymous characters.
• Shown Their Work: The vast majority of Bubble Bass' order is actually legitimate fast food lingo, to the point where, as shown on a Binging with Babish episode, a Reddit user decoded the order, and actually made a recipe for the monstrosity that Bubble Bass ordered (with said user, and Babish himself, each defictionalizing the order). The end result is a patty melt that is both tall and borderline impossible to eat all at once.
• Throw It In!:
  • In "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy", when recording his famous "EEEE-VIIIILLL!!!" line, Ernest Borgnine's voice cracked. Everyone thought it was hilarious, and was a staple of the character for the rest of Borgnine's life and time he voiced him.
  • In "Pickles", when Bubble Bass was walking towards Krabs to demand a refund for his patty, the writers couldn't figure out a good way for Squidward to leave the scene, so they decided to make Bubble Bass throw him.
