Trivia / Soulless DX

Go To

  • Approval of God:
    • Saster doesn't mind other people using DX and "Gamebreaker" for other mods, as long as he and Doorknob are rightfully credited for the character, alongside credit going to the composer of whichever version of Gamebreaker is used. Any retakes/reimaginings are also to be deemed "unofficial".
    • One of said unofficial recursive mods, Friday Night Funkin': Breaker Bundle, got full-on support from the Soulless DX team in question, who gave it a shoutout on their YouTube channel.
  • Content Leak:
    • A build of the mod was leaked, which prompted the team to simply release what they had ready so far.
    • An early version of the first couple of minutes of DX's song was leaked by multiple people, with Grey mentioning that the final thing would be bigger and better than what's already present before asking uploaders of the early version to take it down. This song in question has been leaked much more than any of the upcoming content for the mod, causing almost everything else in the mod to get overshadowed by a single song.
  • Prop Recycling: From a lot of the sprites to the music, Soulless DX reuses a lot of the unfinished work from Vs Sonic.exe.
  • Uncancelled: The mod was briefly cancelled on the 3rd of April, 2023, following an argument between the directors. The very next day however, Grey announced the mod’s return.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Curse was planned to part of this mod via “Male Addiction”, a Sillycore version of “Malediction”, but was cut following his creator, Kenji, being exposed for still being in contact with JesterFrog, who was exposed for grooming a 14 year old girl and collecting CP of her.
    • There were also plans to have a recreation of "Prey" in the mod, which had to change a bit, since the team didn't have permission to use the V2 version of the song. However, they did get permission to use the Good Future mix of the song, so that was in use until it was scrapped as well to save time. There were then plans to replace it with a different mix of "Prey", only for the plans to be scrapped altogether after Revie was given ownership of Starved and Furnace and placed a Fanwork Ban that prevented their inclusion in Friday Night Funkin' mods.
    • Mono.BW was planned to be part of the mod in some way, but as revealed in a poll by Grey, the team were going to replace him depending on who won the poll, who ended up being Coldsteel.
    • After the many leaks related to DX, Saster decided to pull him from the mod to relocate him to another mod, though won't say where he's going to be for now.
