• Real Life Writes the Plot: A Hair vs. Hair match was initially announced between her and Mandy Rose for SummerSlam 2020, but was changed to a Loser Leaves WWE match the very next week. While it was never referenced on TV, the true reason for this change was that around the time the match was planned, Sonya was the victim of a break-in and attempted kidnapping in her home by a stalker (who would later be sentenced to 15 years in prison), and this was thought to be a way to give her some time off and allow her to keep a more "professional" appearance for her time in court. Considering the amount of people online that stated that she could pull off a bald look without much trouble — something she directly acknowledged in the promo where she changed the match stipulations — most saw her losing the match from miles away and were completely okay with it.
• Romance on the Set: She met her first girlfriend while starring in an independent film where they played love interests.
• What Could Have Been: She and Mandy Rose pitched a potential lesbian storyline back in their NXT days but were turned down. There were hints of one in 2019 as well, but it was abandoned soon after.
