• Absurdly Short Production Time: Apparently, the game only had a year of production time behind it.
• Acting for Two: Both the Storyteller and Big Bad Gaw are voiced by Misty Lee. With Kong and his family voiced by Dave Fennoy.
• Meme Acknowledgment: The term "monke" (a deliberate misspelling of "monkey") became a memetic slang term for primates in the early 2020s. Presumably someone involved with the game's development was aware of this as the application in the PC version of the game is named "monke.exe".
• Troubled Production: The game only being developed in just one year resulted in many of the game's issues according to developers who worked on the title, including significant crunch time in the final months of development.
• Working Title: According to concept art on the website, the game was originally called King Kong: Ascension.
