- Write Who You Know: The disturbing bus rider you meet at the beginning of the game is based on a real bus encounter the writers had.
- What Could Have Been:
- In the original script for Episode 4, if you chose to romance Kaneeka you had the option of inviting her to come along and investigate the clinic with you. However, this was cut as it took time away from getting to know Reese, and the main conflict of Episode 4's plot.
- The devs released an article
about some changes they made. Originally the Stranger on the bus was just an ominous gas-station clerk (changed for being too boring and cliche), there was originally a sidequest where you helped Stella collect the equipment for her ghost hunt, where you met the other characters (changed for being boring padding), you could fail to save either Duke or Gretchen (changed for being a needlessly cruel choice that most people would just reload) and Gretchen was "the most hideous, wretched old yappy dog Abby could have possibly drawn" (changed because playtesters kept saving Duke to put Gretchen out of her misery).
