The founders of this site decided that it was preferable to break ties and create a separate community reflecting their preferences on matters ranging from site management to community values.
- Creator-Driven Successor: Most of the founders and writers of RPC are former SCP editors who left that ongoing collaborative project to form their own.
- Missing Episode: Two fairly popular authors and members of site staff, KaiserXI and Croal, had a falling-out with other members of the staff in mid-2022 and requested that their work be deleted before leaving the site. Amongst the deleted works were the original RPC-913
("The Crooked Man").
