• Orphaned Reference: It's generally believed that the game's signature Transformation Mode is this, as Ringo and her friends were initially supposed to be Magical Girl Warriors instead of the average students that they became in the final game. Sonic Team probably became aware of this, as Transformation Mode was dissolved in later titles in exchange for separate Mini/Mega Puyo Rush modes.
• Working Title: The teaser animations leading up to the game's official announcement referred to this as Project Ringo, named after the new A protagonist of the series.
