- The story was originally meant to be a One-Shot Fic of Bridgette/Alejandro (the author's self-admitted Guilty Pleasure pairing) based around the idea of Alejandro being more than just a flirt. However, it ended up being expanded into a full story in response to the trailer for the episode "Anything Yukon Do I Can Do Better" showing Bridgette's Accidental Kiss with Alejandro.
- The author had considerations of making a second sequel, but it ultimately never came to be due to them losing interest in Total Drama when it was announced that the fourth season would feature an all-new cast.
