  • As Peyton is burning the road mix to a CD, she gets startled by Brooke. Peyton goes on to admit that she occasionally thinks she sees or hears Psycho Derek, despite knowing he’s in prison. Peyton’s trauma after the attack would be further explored in the next episode.
  • Mouth getting released from prison and biding farewell to his cell mates. As the group goes to leave, one of the prisoners offers their condolences to Peyton for Ellie’s death, noting that his mother had also died of cancer; when Brooke introduces herself, the same prisoner laughs and brings up Brooke’s time capsule video.
