• Fake American: Both Mackey and Jackson are portrayed by British actors Olivia Swann and Sean Sagar using American accents, meaning this is the first NCIS series to have no American actors at all in the main cast. According to various press releases, the series will show various Australian-based talent, reinforcing the casting of Australian-based actors/actresses to play as Americans aside from Swann and Sagar.
• Backed by the Pentagon: The production is assisted by the Australian Department of Defence and the Australian Federal Police. They provide the resources/facilities for the team to shoot the scenes in and technical assistance.
• Short Run in Peru: The show airs in Australia, followed by Canada/US before Europe/New Zealand.
