Trivia / Mystery Science Theater 3000 S04 E08: Hercules Unchained

• Deleted Scenes: Due to time constraints, several scenes were trimmed or deleted from the presentation.
  • The Pre-Titles Prologue, where Queen Omphale (portrayed here as The Faceless), has a "husband" killed with the arrival of a new unconscious amnesiac one (who will get killed later on when Hercules is brought to her).
  • Oedipus' scene ends with him disappearing.
  • Hercules, Iole, and Ulysses meet Eteocles, who is admiring animals in a pit. They note his insanity. Given Polyneces' demands, he decides to relinquish the throne, preferring to explore the world and catch exotic animals.
  • A scene of the carrier pigeon reaching Ithica. Laertes receives the message and assures his wife and Penelope of Ulysses' safety. This is followed by a montage of a chariot-riding Laertes gathering the old crew.
  • After the tiger fight in the Pit, Hercules breaks through the gates and sees Iole is not with the prisoners. He is told she has escaped.
  • Iole is brought to the Argives General. Before he can make advances on her, the fight between the two brothers begins.
• Out of Order: For whatever reason, the crew watch the second Hercules movie first, then later the fourth, and then finally the first. (Moon Men was not actually a Hercules movie, but a Maciste movie.)
