- Colbert Bump: The ad campaign was catapulted back into the public eye for the first time in three decades in October 2020, when VlogBrothers did a video talking about it.
- Franchise Killer: The Mr. Delicious ads were a last-ditch attempt to save the Rax restaurant chain, with the company sinking a huge amount of their dwindling revenue into the character. Instead, the gamble completely failed and they were forced to declare bankruptcy and restructure.
- He Also Did: Donny Deutsch, who later became a prolific cable TV talk show host (and even briefly starred in a sitcom) was the head of the advertising agency that dreamed up Mr. Delicious, and apparently was the driving force in developing the character.
- Uncredited Role: No one seems to know who voiced Mr. Delicious, only that he was likely a New York-based voice actor.
