• Dawson Casting: Averted. Storm Reid was just 17 when she portrayed June.
  • In the Unfiction show, June was portrayed by Jasmin Savoy Brown at age 28.
  • Ken Leung on the other hand was 51 years old when he portrayed the 42-year-old Kevin Lin.
• Deleted Scene: The original introduction shows June and her friends - Veena included - having a watch party of Unfiction via Zoom while her mom Grace is trying to call via Facetime. That is, until the latter insisted, prompting the former to end the Zoom call.
  • The next scene shows June (on the phone with Eli) going through the 1patrol crime watch.
  • The third scene involves Grace and June in the same room, figuring out how their situation with James, Kevin and Rachel unfolded.
  • The last scene (set in daybreak) shows June calling 911 from the shed's audio feed. Afterwards, an Unfiction episode shows James getting arrested by the cops for his role in the Grace Allen disappearance case in an attempt to flee with June. The Wi Fi in UC Davis gets flaky while she's trying to watch the episode. ^note  This is a storyboarded version of James' downfall.
