- Banned in China: The series was briefly banned after the censors realised it had managed to slip past them. They eventually allowed it to be posted online again, but only after the romantic scenes were cut.
- Completely Different Title: Like all Chinese series, the English title is nothing like the original one. This case is especially egregious because the English title is grammatically incorrect.
- "Do It Yourself" Theme Tune:
- Evan Ma (Jian Bin) and Dylan Xiong (Zhong Kun Yi) sang "劍心飛揚/Jiàn Xīn Fēi Yáng".
- Dylan Xiong also sang "月光訣/Yuè Guāng Jué".
- Sleeper Hit: The series had a very low budget and a cast of amateur actors. It became an unexpected success, and ended up among the top ten most popular series aired on Sohu.
