Trivia / Mahou Shoujo Alleys Inferno

• Absurdly Short Production Time: The project being redeveloped into a Mahou Shoujo was decided in fall 2022, and would begin publication in fall 2023. The short turn-around is attributed to the author having plenty of spare time and previous experience to pull it off. Compared this to Okies, which was first convinced in December 2018 in its current form but wouldn't see release until four years later.

• What Could Have Been:
  • The first concept for Alley's Inferno was not a Magical Girl series, but rather about a sky diver chinchilla who landed up in a strange inferno where she would become queen. It then was redeveloped into a story of two twins who tried to solve a Murder Mystery about the world's most famous cartoonist, before being switched into a series about the status of physical media with a girl who could transform into a fennec fox. The final revision was born from the writer's thoughts about developing a title for the Mahou Shoujo genre in modern times.
  • In early drafts of the story, Marise's original name was Hepburn and had black hair. She also had a kola hat.
  • Maeko and Maca had different hairstyles compared to their final designs.
