From there, the writers set him up as a potential Red Herring and halfway through Chapter 89, it was decided he would appear in uniform there for the first time.

- Emily was meant to be the only Golden Guard until the twist with Cross was thought up.

- Cat's chosen new tracks are based on practicality (her hairstyling could utilize potions (mixing different shampoos) and illusions (visualising hairstyles and showing people what they can choose), being in the same classes as her friends, and theatrics (illusions again and bard.)
- Though working as the new Golden Guard as well, Cross is confirmed to not have a coven sigil on his arm.
- Terra knew all along that Emily was the Golden Guard.
- Teri overheard Donna confirming to LOWTH that Emily was the guard after surfacing following Teri's interview, which is how he set the traps for her.
