  • Black Sheep Hit: For many years, their most viewed video was a review of a toy firetruck.
  • Colbert Bump: Linus' praise of the Framework laptop caused the maker's site to strain under the load, needing them to re-work their back-end.
Framework: We're ramping up our server capacity as quickly as we can, but every time we do, more traffic lands!
    • His video on Tuxedo Laptops, where he ordered one with Wingdings as the keyboard font, caused their site to go down.
    • His video featuring American repair technician and vlogger Louis Rossmann brought in a lot of publicity for the latter.
    • After they reviewed a PC from Starforge Systems, every computer Starforge was selling became out of stock.
  • Creator Backlash: While he loves covering technology and its advances, Linus is disgusted with mass consumerism and is uneasy that his videos can often encourage it. Linus says so himself in the livestream "The Computer I Would Actually BUY" from September 8, 2022.
  • Make-A-Wish Contribution: In "I Will GRANT One Wish - ULTIMATE Make A Wish PC", Grant has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and the Make-A-Wish foundation reached out to Linus Media Group to have Grant meet Linus in person. That wasn't possible because Linus lives in Canada and Grant lives in the USA, and the border was closed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Instead, Linus builds a high-spec gaming computer for Grant.
  • The Merch: Linus and company will segue the merch store in various ways, such as wearing their branded t-shirts and hoodies throughout the video, or when filling reservoirs for custom liquid-cooled computers, pouring from their branded insulated water bottles.
  • Real Song Theme Tune: The theme song is Supernova by artist Laszlo. The comments on the original video overwhelmingly reference Linus Tech Tips. The first LTT video to use the song is "Obutto Revolution Gaming Cockpit - The ULTIMATE Workstation Computer Setup?" on February 9, 2015.
  • What Could Have Been: Audiophile YouTuber, and member of The Headphone Show, DMS, used to be a writer for Linus Tech Tips.
