• Sequel Gap: Life-Size 2 debuted in December 2018, over eighteen years after the first film premiered. Tyra Banks is the only original cast member to reprise her role. A picture of Lindsay Lohan as Casey, taken on the set of the original film, appears for a few seconds.
• Throw It In!: The dancing sequence after the movie ends was Lindsay Lohan's idea that was filmed on the last day. It was meant to be a blooper for the DVD but the editor decided to add the scene on after the ending.
• What Could Have Been: Casey was supposed to appear in the sequel in an undisclosed role, however scheduling difficulties prevented Lindsay Lohan from appearing.
  • The original movie was supposed to have Eve stay human and marry Casey's dad but Disney and ABC wanted an "angel story" where Eve comes in Casey's life, makes things better, and then leaves, thus the ending was changed to have Eve go back to being a doll to save the doll collection.
  • The title of the movie was originally called "Ken and Barbie" but was changed due to concerns that Mattel wouldn't let the creators use the toy's IP so Eve was created in place of Barbie.
  • Eve's name was originally Star (which also was the inspiration for the song "Be a Star") but it was changed due to toy companies having plans to make a doll with that name. The song title got to stay the same though.
