Trivia / Legacy of the Dragonborn

  • Creator's Favorite: Non-Character Example: The lead dev of the mod, Icecreamassassin, has stated that his favorite displays are in the Atrium of the Hall of Heroes, citing the "thematic" displays (i.e., Ysgramor, the Divine Crusader) in particular.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Or rather, keep circulating the files of supported mods - while the main mod itself is perfectly accessible on Nexus, the same can't be said for all the mods it supports; notable examples include any mods by HeirOfTheSeptimsnote . Interestingly, there is one exception to this rule - Wyrmstooth was removed from Nexus from 2017-2021 (due to the author of said mod undergoing personal troubles; he later re-uploaded it to Nexus after sorting out those issues, and is also updating it once again), yet the dev team continued to support the patch for Wyrmstooth and even updated it after said mod got updated. That being said, the devs have stated that Wyrmstooth was an exception, and if any other mods are removed, their patches would follow suit as well.
  • The Other Darrin: Falk Firebeard's custom lines for one of the quests were quite clearly recorded using a different voice actor.
  • What Could Have Been: At one point, the quests for Odyssey of the Dragonborn that would send the player outside of Skyrim were originally going to be set in the Beyond Skyrim worldspace, but due to a combination of Odyssey working at a different pace than BS, as well as the fact that doing so would require linking the location of each chapter of Odyssey to what was available in BSnote , this idea was scrapped in favor of using separate worldspacesnote , on top of the fact that running Odyssey and Beyond Skyrim would likely be too much for the game to handle.
    • Originally, Act 1 of Odyssey was going to be released on both LE and SE, but all future acts would've been SE exclusive, but due to a combination of the fact that Odyssey would've come very close to breaking, if not outright broken, the LE enginenote , as well as the mod's author disliking supporting 2 versions of the mod. Similarly, engine limitations on LE led the team to ultimately decide against porting Legacy V5 of the mod, as the redesign of the museum that came with that version would be too much for the game engine to handle.
    • The LE version of Legacy had a feature that would allow you to have a "persistent museum" which would let you complete displays with one character and then continue work on it with others. However, because people used this as a way to use the museum with multiple characters as opposed to the intended use (namely, retiring an old character and then continue working on the Museum with a new one), this feature was scrapped for the SE release.
