- Creator-Chosen Casting: Aaron Taylor-Johnson was cast as Kraven after JC Chandor was reportedly impressed by the actor's performance in early test screenings of the film Bullet Train.
- Release Date Change: The film was originally set to be released on January 13th, 2023, but got pushed back to October of that year. In late July 2023, however, it was pushed back further to August 30, 2024 due to the effects of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike (in particular, Sony's reliance on lead actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson as part of the promotional cycle, something that couldn't be done during the strike). However, the film gets delayed again to December 13, 2024, at the end of April, taking the fifth Karate Kid movie slot, and the original August slot was replaced by Screen Gems/Blumhouse movie They Listen, which ironically initially lost the date due to the strike.
- Time-Shifted Actor: As the trailer shows, Levi Miller will portray Kraven as a teenager.
