  • Many people have assumed this show is a Subverted Kids' Show horror movie. It is in fact a documentary about the show and the backlash that occurred in response to its success. The extremely menacing tone of the trailer, complete with a Moody Trailer Cover Song, doesn't help matters.
  • Several media outlets attributed the "death and dismemberment of my family" quote in the trailer to Bob West. It was actually Barney & Friends musical director Bob Singleton who said that quote.
  • Similarly, many media publications also said Bob West was in the suit. Bob West provided the voice while other performers, such as David Voss, David Joyner, and Josh Martin portrayed Barney in the suit.
  • The documentary itself credits footage from an Animaniacs PC game as being from the actual show it was based on.
• Dueling Dubs: There's two Latin American Spanish dubs: One done in Argentina for Peacock, and another done in Mexico for HBO Max.
• Promoted Fanboy: Andrew Olsen, a Barney historian, collector, and known Fandom VIP, worked on the documentary.
