• What Could Have Been: Word of God said initial plans for the early chapters had Steven and Bloop as constant wanderers, instead of living at the Palanquin
• Word of God: Rose gets poofed in this story, and no one saw that her gem was that of a diamond (which the author did say is canon in this universe as well). The author's notes went on to say that she was poofed in a dark cave while everyone was being drowned by Lapis, and Pearl grabbed the gem before anyone really saw.
