Trivia

Trivia Tropes

  • Children Voicing Children: Baba is voiced by Dave Peacock's (one of the voice directors) daughter, Agnes Peacock.
  • In Memoriam: The movie is dedicated to Terry O'Reilley (who served as a layout supervisor for the movie and layout assistant for the series, and passed away on April 21, 2021) and Kevin Kocvar (who was assistant editor for the series, and passed away on April 13, 2020).
  • Invisible Advertising: After being kept under wraps for most of 2021 following the release of the second season, the release date was confirmed only a month before it was released. To make matters worse, Netflix released the trailer only a few weeks before its premiere, and otherwise gave it very little advertising or fanfare. There's a good chance most people who did not actively follow Hilda watched the movie, let alone knew it existed. But fortunately enough, this issue seems to have been fixed with the release of the third and final season, with marketing starting much farther in advance compared to the movie.
  • Production Nickname: Trundle's brother remains unnamed in the movie, even in the script, but according to Andy Coyle and Megan Ferguson, the animators working on the movie nicknamed him "Brundle".
  • What Could Have Been: Shared with the rest of the series.
