- Cash-Cow Franchise: Using the characters Hampton, Fuzzy, Dixie, and Hado, The Hamsterdance at least attempted to make extra music videos and live off the fame the original song had. This was not very big but it was an attempt.
- Follow-Up Failure: No later product ever matched the viral success of "The Hampster Dance".
- Keep Circulating the Tapes:
- Rescued with How The Hamsters Saved Winter. The CG turn of the Hampton the Hamster name, was only available on DVD until it was uploaded onto the Lost Media Wiki. Physical copies, however, are rare to find.
- The Hamsterdance website was removed and recreated many times by fans, but the original can be viewed on Wayback Machine at least.
- The music video for “Hamster Party” was only broadcasted several times in its lifetime, making this video a total rarity to find in good quality through YouTube reuploads.
- What Could Have Been: There was an animated series planned by Nelvana based on the characters but it didn't make it to production.
