Trivia / Gus Honeybun's Magic Birthdays

• Missing Episode: Little of Gus survives in a broadcast format, as the segments were essentially live continuity and not considered worthy of preservation. More survives as domestic recordings, once video cassette recorders arrived in the late 1970s/early 1980s.
• No Budget: Gus originally had to share the everyday continuity suite with the announcers, and once he gained his own 'set' it was essentially a cardboard desk or grassy knoll with a Chroma Key screen behind him to create the backgrounds. Averted with the Gus puppets themselves - there were four, with a seemingly endless selection of clothes.
