Trivia / Green Antarctica

Go To

  • While the fauna of this Antarctica is mostly accurate to both Eocene Seymour Island fossils and contemporary animals in Australia and South America, it is conspicuously lacking in meridiolestidans and gondwanatheres, two "archaic" mammal lineages that were rather common in the Cretaceous and early Cenozoic across the southern continents and in fact occur in Antarctic Eocene sites. The author has since posted in forums about knowing about these animals well after the project had gone underway, though in fairness they could have died out given how the continent is now a Death World.
