• Art Imitates Life:
  • Dave Goelz (Boober) and Steve Whitmire (Wembley) were very close friends and enjoyed trying to scare the pants off each other in real life. Whitmire, who has called "Scared Silly" his favorite episode, remembers that Wembley's continued failures at trying to scare Boober back were also true to life, since Goelz would often sense when someone was sneaking up to scare him and would spoil the whole joke.
  • Whitmire wasn't Goelz' only target. Goelz once sneaked up on writer Jocelyn Stevenson while she was in an ATM vestibule, then foiled her attempts to get back at him. She finally took out her frustration another way: by writing this episode.
