• Development Hell: 15.ai has gained infamy for it's extremely long matenience times, the latest update as of now having been in Feburary of 2022.
• Follow the Leader: Since 15.ai's success, more and more similar TTS sites have been popping up using a similar formula. The most popular one of them all was Uberduck.ai, until the voices there were removed due to copyright strikes. Ever since, people have been flocking to the similar in style FakeYou, the much more advanced ElevenLabs or the much more expansive but tougher to learn RVC (which uses voice-to-voice/speech-to-speech (STS) technology instead, allowing for much more control over the output of the model).
• Recycled Script: The "(Character) finds (X)" series for Team Fortress 2 based videos, which initially started after Piemations tweeted using the software for Demoman and Spy and subsequent animations following suit popularizing it. This led to people making their own versions using this format, although many of them don't really put their own spin on the subject.
  • Typically, the videos start off with a character (usually Demoman) finding someone doing something bad (usually Scout), who then berates them for it. The target will then attempt to defend themselves in vain, begging the confronter not to tell anyone. Assuming the confronter doesn't just walk out or punish the target themselves (or the video doesn't end mid-confrontation), they'll call someone else (usually Medic and/or Heavy) over to either expose them or have them help take care of the issue and take the target away for treatment or punishment.
