  • God Never Said That: For a time, the story's trope page claimed that Neil Gaiman had said that the statue identified as male and that the statue killed the woman after the ending. Gaiman himself commented that neither were true (both the statue's gender and the ending are intentionally left ambiguous) when he happened across the page.
