• Dyeing for Your Art: The beard Crichton sports for most of the episode is real, Ben Browder grew it during the break between seasons.
• Prop Recycling: Elack's Pilot was made from the core of the puppet for Moya's Pilot, for whom a new puppet was constructed in time for his return in "Promises".
• Throw It In!: Chrichton randomly yelling at the pirates in Klingon.
• What Could Have Been: Scenes with the Peacekeepers were shot for this episode but cut for time. Clips were included in the Previously on… for the next episode in order to catch the audience up on the status quo changes among the Peacekeeprs (Braca being promoted, Scorpius being relieved of command).
