• Actor Leaves, Character Dies:
  • This happened to Carol after Ana de Armas decided to leave the series.
  • Also to Jacques Noiret when the actor went to the United States.
• Ascended Fan Nickname: Amaia was nicknamed "Heidi" by fans before the writers decided to use it in-universe.
• Dawson Casting: Averted at the start of the series, because the main teenage characters' and the actors' ages were quite similar - never more than 1 or 2 years older. Eventually played straight, as four years later, the difference was about 4-5 years, while the entirety of the series is stated to have happened during little more than one year.
• Killed by Request: Years after she left the series, during an interview with Wired to promote Ghosted, Ana de Armas revealed that it was her idea for Carol to be killed off when she left the series.
