Trivia / Doctor Who S37E6 "Demons of the Punjab"

Go To

  • Meaningful Release Date:
    • The episode came out on November 11, 2018, which is Remembrance Day. Very fitting, considering the Thijarians' chosen purpose of honouring the dead who would otherwise be forgotten. The episode also deliberately includes close-up shots of poppies in honor of this day.
    • It also fell on Veteran's Day in the US. Appropriate, given how World War II factors into the story.
  • Underage Casting: If Umbreen was 18 when she got married in the summer of 1947, she would be turning 90 in the fall of 2018. Leena Dhingra is "only" in her seventies.

  • What Could Have Been: Sacha Dhawan was offered a role for this episode by producer Matt Strevens. Dhawan turned it down for scheduling reasons, though he would later appear in "Spyfall" as O/The Master
