• Outdated by Canon: The idea that Gwyn never sacrificed himself to the First Flame, but instead threw Gwynevere into it is completely contradicted in Dark Souls III, which not only heavily implies Gwynevere was alive long after the first game and became the queen of Lothric, but has the final boss, the Soul of Cinder, an amalgamation of all Lords of Cinder, use Gwyn's fighting style in its second phase, confirming that he did indeed Link the Fire.
• What Could Have Been: More or less the inspiration for the mod; A lot of discarded ideas from the actual Dark Souls 1 are revived and utilized to fit with what was likely the intended final product.
