- Technology Marches On: As a PSA series about computers for children aired in the mid-1980s, it was inevitable. Characters use floppy disks, single-button mice, and the monitors look just like your average CRT. That said, some aspects have not been widely replicated or superseded even after decades have passed, like the usage of light pens and touch screen monitors (while the former are like styluses for drawing tablets and the latter have been used in consoles like Game.com, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS, as well as smartphones, they're not in widespread use for computers).
