• Outdated by Canon: Having been written before Season 2 aired, this was inevitable:
  • In this fic, Lilith is a lesbian, having had a wife who died. Lilith in canon was confirmed by Word of Gay in "The Owl House "Be Gay Do Witchcraft" Charity Drawathon to be aroace.
  • Luz's father is heavily implied to have been abusive. In canon, Luz's father was an amazing father and man, shown by the fact that his wife and daughter commemorate him every year.
  • Alador is a monster here just like his wife. He pulls a Heel–Face Turn in the series proper, and even before this, he was clearly the less malicious of the couple by a long shot.
  • Eda and Lilith had Abusive Parents. While Eda did find Gwendolyn's methods of trying to heal her curse annoying, she and Luz were able to help her see reason. Meanwhile, Dell wanted to reconnect with Eda and held no hard feelings towards accidentally being scarred by her curse.
