Trivia / Battle of Moscow

Go To

  • Backed by the Pentagon: Or the Kremlin, for that matter, as with Ozerov's other war epics.
  • Deliberate Flaw Retcon: At the end of the first film, Stalin is seen as willing to give up Kiev to buy time for Moscow, but in actuality he probably never intended for it to turn out that way.
  • Fake Nationality: Hitler, an Austrian by birth, is played by a German; Harry Hopkins, an American, is played by a Czech actor.
  • Falsely Advertised Accuracy: As seen in the Based on a Great Big Lie entry in the main page, the films do play up a few myths from the war, despite the narrator claiming that everything in the film is accurate.
  • Follow the Leader: To Ozerov's Liberation and Soldiers of Freedom.
  • Sequel First: In a way, as Liberation covers everything that happened before the Battle of Moscow, except for the Battle of Stalingrad, which got its own films long after this one.
