  • Defictionalization: There are fan projects that try recreating the cards in the game as real-life playing cards, including every possible enhancement, seal, and edition combination for each one. One such project has instructions on how to print your own set.
  • Inspiration for the Work: According to LocalThunk, the game was inspired by other roguelike deckbuilders such as Slay the Spire, Luck be a Landlord, The Binding of Isaac, and SNKRX.
  • Throw It In!: Obviously, in a normal 52 card deck, you'd never be able to play five cards of the same value and suit, so there wasn't a special hand for doing so. After being asked by beta testers, the dev figured it'd make sense to add it in, and thus the Flush Five hand was born.
  • What Could Have Been: Originally, LocalThunk intending to make an online version of a Cantonese card game called Big Two.
