• What Could Have Been: The book's original artist was Frederic Mebarki, who had been Albert Uderzo's inker on "Asterix and the Secret Weapon" through to "Asterix and the Falling Sky". In the end, Mebarki decided that he didn't want to work on the series without Uderzo and dropped out, leaving Didier Conrad to take over.
