• Creator Backlash: There were two aspects of the show that Cho hated the most: the studio forcing her to lose weight to play herself, and the fact that her character was written to always turn down sex from her love interests. Cho said in her autobiography that she personally would've said yes in many of the scenes where her character said no. In her standup, she's also described her indignation at the producers hiring an "Asian consultant" to help her act "more Asian."
