    Shōwa Era 

Year 18 (1943 A.D.)

  • A Servant summoned by the Imperial Japanese Army (Archer, Oda Nobunaga) killed their Master who summoned them and then contracted with a new Master (Kaname Asama).
  • Something happened and the Holy Grail War at the time abruptly ended with the disappearance of the Holy Grail and the Servants.
    • Archer won the Holy Grail War.
  • The Fujimiya family is destroyed by the Imperial Japanese Army with Tsukumo being the only survivor.

Year 20 (1945 A.D.)

  • A new Holy Grail appears in Japan's Imperial Capital, Tokyo.
  • The Church contacts 17 years old Tsukumo Fujimiya to be their representative in the upcoming Holy Grail War.
    • As one of her conditions to join is to use the Holy Sheath (Avalon) as a catalyst, but the Church deceived her and gave her a replica.

April

April 1; Sunday

  • The Battle of Okinawa begins.

April 7; Saturday

  • The Japanese 2nd Fleet enacted Operation Ten-Go leading to the Battle of the East China Sea.
    • Japan's 2nd Fleet was defeated and loses ships such as the battleship designated as Yamato.

May

May 8; Tuesday

  • Victory in Europe Day: Germany officially surrendered, leaving Japan the only remaining Axis power in the war.
  • (OT): An explosion erupted over Imperial Capital Tokyo causing the death of about 200,000 citizens. The destruction was severe enough to gouge the land to make it into a gulf.
    • For currently unknown reasons, the explosion has yet to occur in the new timeline.

August

"1st day of the Holy Grail War"

  • Tsukumo was in a train passenger car when a Third Reich officer shot off his pistol panicking the other passengers.
    • The other passengers evacuated leaving Tsukumo behind with the mysterious officer and his Lancer class Servant.
  • (OT): Tsukumo face the officer and summons Saber.
  • (NT): As Tsukumo faces the officer and his Servant, Kanata Akagi suddenly appears behind her.
    • (NT): As Kanata rouses awake, he grabs on the hourglass but when he was fully awake the hourglass disappeared.
    • (NT): Kanata saves Tsukumo and accidentally summons Saber with a light novel as a catalyst.
  • Saber fights and defeats the Lancer class Servant.
  • Archer came to observe the Lancer but then fights Saber.
    • The Third Reich officer got mad at the death of his Servant, he shot at Archer and ranted. Archer just shoots him dead in the head.
    • The fight between Archer and Saber ends inconclusively as Archer is recalled to deal with another matter.
  • (NT): Archer finds and takes the hourglass mystic code.

"2nd day of the Holy Grail War"

  • (OT): Tsukumo and Saber face against the "Ghost of Tosa" in an alleyway.
    • (OT): Tsukumo uses her first Command Seal and order Saber to kill Assassin.
  • (NT): Kanata and Saber split off from Tsukumo to get new clothes.
    • (NT): Saber massacred the Imperial Armed Forces sent to kill Kanata.
    • Assassin kills the Imperial Armed Forces sent to kill Tsukumo.
    • (NT): Assassin heavily injured Tsukumo after she refuses to be cooperative and reveal Saber's True Name.
    • (NT): Kanata uses his first Command Seal and order Saber to kill Assassin.
      • After fighting a losing battle, Assassin's Master used one of her Command Seals to order Assassin to retreat.

"3rd day of the Holy Grail War"

  • (NT): Kanata had a dream about Tsukumo.
  • Tsukumo calls the Church to complain and asks for help but is denied and they reveal to her that the Avalon she was given is just a replica.
    • (NT): Tsukumo asked the supervisor if the found anything on Kanata but they weren't able to. The priest does tell her they found that she can be a master by either killing Kanata and then contracting Saber or have Kanata come to them and willing withdraw from the war.

    (Circa) Heisei Era 

Year 21 (2009 A.D.)

  • When Kanata was 6 years old, his grandmother died at the age of 81.

Years 22~27 (2010~2015 A.D.)

  • In elementary school, Kanata demonstrated his slowdown magecraft to his classmates such as Taka which was dismissed as a trick.

Years 28~30 (2016~2018 A.D.)

  • When Kanata was in middle school, his parents got divorced with he and his sister going to the custody of their mother.

    (Circa) Reiwa Era 

Year 2 (2020 A.D.)

May 8; Friday

  • 17 year old Kanata Akagi is roused from his sleep in the morning by a phone call from his mom and accidentally knocked his smartphone off the table.
    • Kanata used magecraft to slow the phone's fall before catching it and then answering the call.
  • After getting dressed for school, Kanata watches television which the program announced the date while revealing it is the 75th anniversary of the mysterious explosion. Kanata then flips through the channels.
    • Kanata gets a call from his friend Taka who wants to know what Kanata thought about the light novel he recommended to him.

May 9; Saturday

  • Kanata meets his father before traveling with him to his grandmother's former estate.
  • While going through several items, Kanata comes across a picture of his grandmother when she was young.
    • Kanata finds a strange hourglass but accidentally dropped it so he used his magecraft to slow its fall and catches it.
  • Kanata notices that time is moving in reverse and realizes that the hourglass was a mystic code and it activated when he put mana into it.
    • During the time reversal, Kanata sees a moment in time when his grandmother was alive interacting with his younger self.
    • During the time reversal, Kanata was midair witnessing the explosion over Tokyo.
