  • Chapter 3, Two Leaders
    • When Jack activates the Shadow of Fear, Raimundo teases Other Omi about how, despite being the leader in his universe, he's still afraid of squirrels. Rai takes it back when Other Omi's fear turns out be some kind of winged demon that actually reduces him to panicked tears. What the demon says only adds it further.
Demon: You will fail Omi. You will lose everything, and it will be no one's fault but your own.
    • When infiltrating Chase Young's lair to retrieve the Rio Reverso, Raimundo accuses Other Omi of needing the Rio Reverso for himself in order to fix a huge mistake that he made in his world. Other Omi is clearly distraught by Rai's words, even attempting to fight back tears.
Raimundo: You screwed up, didn't you? You made such a big mess that you had to cross universes to fix your own mistake. I'm right, aren't I?
  • Chapter 10, Je Mens
    • Ping Pong encounters Chase Young for the first time, who tries to manipulate Ping Pong into thinking the Monks all view him as a weakling who will eventually abandon him. Ping Pong tries not to fall for his trick, but it's clear that Chase's words stung him quite a bit. Ping Pong also forces himself to lie to the Monks about never being about to find the Necklace of Amelior, when in reality, Chase took off with it.
  • Chapter 11, Neither Here Nor There
    • Omi, sensing that Ping Pong was lying in the previous chapter, begins to treat him more harshly. Omi becomes under the impression that Ping Pong might be planning to betray the Monks, something that even Raimundo agrees on (though not entirely without justification, given the Monks' track record with newcomers).
    • Later on, when looking for a new Shen Gong Wu, the Monks are attacked by a group of manticores. Ping Pong, in particular, is grabbed by one of the manticores, who takes off with him after Raimundo debates whether or not to attack the manticore for fear of also hitting Ping Pong.
