- In "An Ogre in Pitchfork Pines," it's revealed that (just like in many other monster media) there are humans out there who are prejudiced against monsters, going so far as to think they don't have feelings. A sobering thought for what is otherwise a lighthearted preschool series.
- Earlier on in the same episode, it's also revealed that both humans and monsters are prejudiced against ogres, with there being many a cruel ogre joke.
