Tear Jerker / Hunted

• Issue #18.HU took Gibbon, a character rather infamous for being a Joke Character for over 40 years of publication and respun it to make him one of the most tragic characters in the storyline. The issue culminates with his death and, in his final moments, at least taking solace in the fact that Spider-Man is watching over him and not letting him die alone.

• Issue #20: Black Ant admits that he always felt he was never cut out to be a hero or even a particularly good person and one of the reasons he and Taskmaster hit it off was because he felt Taskmaster was just as bad or worse than him. Which is why the latter's betrayal hurt so much.

• Issue #21 reveals that Billy knows his new body is that of a clone and that he remembers that his father was the one who killed him. Dr. Connors breaks down in tears thinking that any chance at reconciling with his son is now lost.
