Faded Boundaries
- In the prologue, it’s revealed that Graystripe and Dustpelt were one of the victims of greencough. Considering they have been there since the beginning, it’s pretty sad to see them go.
- Dewpaw and Petalkit’s death. One of them was one of Silentpaw and Blazepaw’s friends, and the other was an innocent kit. The effect this has on their respective littermates(Amberpaw, Snowpaw, and Finchkit is also pretty sad.
- Lakekit’s grief over his brother, Rainkit, who died in the flood, and how desperately he wants to stop cats from dying like his brother did.
- Speaking of deaths, Tawnypelt’s death while giving birth to her second litter of kits is sad. She’s been there ever since the near beginning of the series, and the effect it has on the others is gut-wrenching.
- Finchkit. He’s so traumatized by Petalkit’s death, he becomes more mature, as well as brooding and depressed.
