Tear Jerker / Aselia the Eternal - The Spirit of Eternity Sword

• The entire existence of the spirits. They only live to serve, fight, and die for their human masters, despite having feelings and loved ones just like everyone else.
• Being forced to kill Kyouko and Kouin on your first playthrough - particularly Kyouko, since she is Brainwashed and Crazy and doesn't snap out of it until you deal her a fatal blow.
• No matter which girl you end up with, it will always be a Bittersweet Ending due to everyone else on Phantasmorgia AND Earth - Kaori, Kyouko (if you're not on her route) and Kouin, and all your other comrades minus Tokimi - forgetting about Yuuto once he becomes an Eternal. Lesteena's route in particular is quite bittersweet, since she can't become an Eternal and Yuuto has to restart his relationship with her all over again. He doesn't seem too bothered by it though.
  • Kaori doesn't have a route, but the whole scene where she confesses her feelings to Yuuto and then has to say goodbye to him forever is pretty tearjerking in its own right.
• Desire's death. While he's done nothing but be a Jerkass most of the game, it wasn't really his fault, and even Yuuto admits that he's sad about losing him.
