• "Hope There's Someone", from 2005's "I Am A Bird Now", is a sweetly-sung, slightly unnerving song about wishing someone would be there for you when you die. It also helps that the vocals are extremely devastating.
• ANOHNI's 2016 solo album Hopelessness is full of these.
  • "Drone Bomb Me" is about a Syrian girl who loses her family in a drone attack and wishes to be killed herself. The music video features Naomi Campbell lipsyncing to the song, and she is visibly in tears throughout the video.
