While being chased by a group of bandits, a young boy named Van hides out in the old ruins, where he finds a small Zoid (an Organoid) which he names Zeke. After fending the bandits off with a resurrected Shield Liger, the duo later uncover a mysterious amnesiac girl from the same location.
- A Boy and His X: When Van and Zeke meet, pretty much.
- Didn't See That Coming: Near the end of the episode, Van was expecting to find Zeke's little brother or sister in the second pod. Instead, he finds a mysterious young girl.
- Falling into the Cockpit: This happens to Van when Zeke brings him to a broken-down Shield Liger and then proceeds to restore it. Van doesn't mind in the least.
- Would Hurt a Child: Bull pretty much was willing to test out his blue Guysack by having Van in his crosshairs.
