Upset that she ends up being on the bottom of the dog-pile Yolei persuades Cody calling his mother to stay in school longer and demands explanation for the entire preveious incident towards the Digidestined that has just returned from the Digital World. Izzy volunteers to explain Yolei regarding the new Digivices while also explaining the term Digidestined towards a curios Cody. Around this time, Sora appeared having just finished from her Tennis lessons and overhearing some conversation with people she is familiar with, with Tai recaping what happens before she arrived. When Yolei wants to know the details of the Digimon Emperor, Izzy instead volunteers to return back to the Digital World for a pre-emptive strike on a poorly defended ground. Everyone accepted and they head back to the Digital World with Yolei's help.
However, little do they know, the Digidestined had been relocated towards a different location with the help of the mysterious figure; a location where Birdramon and Kabuterimon appears and confronts the Digidestined and for the first time, meet the Digimon Emperor face-to-face. While Tai, Davis and Flamedramon stays behind to deal with Birdramon, Sora, Yolei, Izzy, and Cody runs away from a pursuing Kabuterimon whom after burying them inside the temple, returns back to deal with Flamedramon.
Inside the temple, the Digidestined found two Digieggs, Love and Knowledge and just like before, Sora and Izzy fails to lift it in contrast to Yolei and Cody who successfully lift it with little problems, freeing Hawkmon and Armadillomon respectively in the process. After Yolei thoughts about returning back to her family and Cody figuring out a way to dig through the hole, their Digivices Armor-Digivolves Hawkmon into Halsemon and Armadillomon into Digmon. The caved-in Digidestined immediately took the opportunity to escape from the cave, return back towards Tai and Davis's location and break-off the Dark Ring from both Birdramon and Kabuterimon in the process.Sora and Izzy afterwards managed to reunite with their respective Digimons with open arms.
With 5 o'clock already passed, the Digimon Emperor decides to return back to his home and rest after demanding Wormmon to activate the defense systems.
Meanwhile, the mysterious figure back in Gennai's house contemplates on this new change of events and how different it is compared to events that happened before. Hoping that not much will change, the figure retreats back to have a rest.
