• Book Ends: Season 3 began with a clip show episode of Jaden reminiscing the events of season 2. This episode ends season 3 with a clip show episode of Chazz, Alexis, and Hassleberry remembering the duels against Jaden and the events in the Dark Monsters world.
• The Bus Came Back: In-universe. Jaden returns to Duel Academy (by a shooting star) after finishing his business with Yubel.
• Sore Loser: Chazz brags about his duel against Jaden in the second episode that he had Jaden on the ropes. Alexis informs him the next card Jaden drew was Monster Reborn which he could use to revive Flame Wingman and destroy Chazz's Memphis the Infernal General. Chazz doesn't take it well, calls out Jaden for leaving the duel never mind they were breaking the academy rules by dueling in the arena outside of school hours and were all about to get caught. Chazz the fried shrimp meant as a tribute to Jaden out of spite.
